Soiree Records International

Soiree Records International is a Detroit‑based record label focusing on underground electronic music: deep house, techno, downtempo, and related styles.

It was set up by Derrick Thompson (aka Drivetrain) (or at least strongly associated with him), as a platform for his own releases as well as those of other underground artists. The label distributes music globally, both on vinyl and in digital formats.

Over the years, Soiree has released a variety of EPs, compilations, and tracks featuring Detroit artists and others, maintaining a presence in the underground electronic scene.

The label is sometimes described as pushing “intelligent rhythm science,” meaning that it tends toward thoughtful, nuanced productions rather than formulaic dancefloor music.
